The look of the film is beautifully Gothic and it's an interesting idea having all these creatures together fighting in the real world. It is fun, but it does get a bit tiresome when all it really ha to offer is visual FX, which are brilliant, no denying that. It's just that they are a bit repetitive. However, if you like these sort of YA action fantasies, then you will have a great time with this.
