Eli Roth is a director known for his gore. And Thanksgiving, a film about a killer hunting people, delivers the girsly gore. There are some effective shocks and violent scenes throughout. It's well shot and provides an eerie atmosphere. The mystery as to who the killer was also intriguing and the twist as to who it was was nicely done, providing lots of red herrings along the way. Thanksgiving is a strong entry into the slasher genre.
