Beyond Skyline is a sci-fi action thriller.
The film is packed with action, only slowing down a tiny bit in the second act to make characters dialogue more.
The main draw is the action, and the film delivers full-blown popcorn entertainment in that regard.
The visual effects are great throughout and at the end there’s even some footage of the behind the scenes bloopers, which are interesting to see.
The story is threadbare, but was solid and did it’s job. It also didn’t sag when it came to the second act, which is sometimes a hurdle as there’s a risk that they will meander (which also is ok, but usually not the best thing in an action film).
Overall, Beyond Skyline is a highly entertaining sci-fi action thriller.
