Atomic Shark

There are a plethora of shark-related films, mostly swimming in the horror genre, but sometimes venturing out into comedy and sci-fi and even fantasy. Atomic Shark takes a bite out of horror, comedy and sci-fi and spits them out into an amalgam of small, digestable bits.

The film is a B-movie, and the great thing is, it knows it and embraces it, knowing how utterly ridiculous the concept is. The concept being a radioactive shark attacking beachgoers and anyone who happens to be there, even when on dry land.

It's humourous, with some funny moments, however, being a B movie shark attack film, it does what it can in the action department, and is very commendable for it.

There is a lot of action and a fair amount of gore, which is impressive for a low-budget venture like this.

Atomic Shark is better than other shark attack films, however, it's a pretty low bar to beat. This one at least tries to be entertaining.
