A couple tries to sell a possessed doll in this horror.
While it does feature amateur mistakes (for example, the camera moves suddenly, which seems to be a goof), subpar acting performances and a some poor CGI, this film boasts some neat practical effects.
Elf in the Hood isn't going to be a horror classic (well, I don't think it will be), but it's an ok horror film.
The story isn't anything new, with Leprechaun going to the 'hood and a movie called The Elf about a killer (you guessed it) elf. So it's not an original story by any means, however, that doesn't detract really, in my opinion, as it's like getting the same toy as the box advertises. I wanted to see an elf cause havoc and this film delivered on that, more than I expected.
I had very low hopes going into this film. And I'm happy to say they were met and slightly exceeded.
It's an ok film.
