KillJoy 3

Now, I didn’t like the first Killjoy, but the third in the series is a really BIG step up. The acting is good, the make-up is better than the first, although I have to say that the clown was a bit creepier than this, there was a scary feeling about seeing an evident man in a clown suit, whereas in this one it’s much more fantastical looking. However, the visual effects are great. There’s a lot more gore than I was expecting, having seen the relatively tame first film. The story is interesting, with the characters coming into contact with a mystical mirror. No, this isn’t Mirrors; it’s got a different purpose. The sets are gorgeous looking, and there is some perverse dark humour. Overall, this is a great horror film, not brilliant but great.
