Being a film from the low-budget schlock and sleaze film
company, Troma Pictures, I knew what to expect. And from the first scene set in
a strip club, it becomes perfectly clear what type of genre route this film is
going to be taking; the route of sexploitation and this film does feature some
scenes of softcore sex. Most of these scenes are titillating, but those scenes
are what this movie really has going for it. The poster shoves a load of
scantily-clad women down our throats, pandering to the male market of viewers,
who will be nicely diverted by the display of breasts on screen, diverted from
the story which is not that good. Something about these strip club workers
going on the run, stopping for sex sometimes. It sounds like a porn movie, but
I think that it has a larger budget than most of the porn films out there, and
it’s scenes of sex are of the softcore nature rather than the hardcore. The
film provides good sleazy moments, the scene at the beginning in the strip club
being the sleaziest point in the film. I love exploitation movies and this one
was a good example of sexploitation. The actresses and actors weren’t all that
great, but they were fine and actually quite believable. The sex is graphic and
on the edge of softcore, I have to say. All in all, I like this film. It’s got
a fairly low-budget, as expected from Troma, but if you have a fondness for
their film output, like me, and then you’ll like this film.
