This Italian film is about a boy, whose mother one day
dies mysteriously. We then follow him into his teenage years and adulthood,
where his mother’s memory still follows him.
This is a sweet and sentimental film, which brings a tear
to your eye. It doesn’t feel forced at all. It’s just a leisurely told story
which grows on you. It’s also very well directed, the actors are amazing, and,
in my opinion, some of them should be up for awards. An award should also go to
the director and cinematographer.
The only negative thing about this film is that the
running time is a bit overlong, just a bit. But then again, it is a leisurely
film.
I really enjoyed this film. It is a really heartfelt
film, written with the same compassion that infuses Massimo’s (the protagonist)
journalistic work.
I would highly recommend this film.
