Although the movie seems pretty slow for me at the start, and felt like it dragged, when it did start to become a thriller, it picked up pace and was way better for it. I may say that it dragged a bit, but I kept on watching nonetheless, so it wasn't that bad.
The acting was good and I did like the actors, the sets made you feel like they were on the red planet, and the visual effects were competent.
Overall, I think this is a middle of the road sci-fi thriller. It's ok for a one time watch, but I can't see myself returning to it.
