I thought the movie This Is England is was top-class and this first season in a three season run is also top-class, although I don't think overall it's as great. It is well made, and it's great to see the characters again, but the movie had a tighter, more interesting story overall. To be fair, '86 is one of the better seasons in this trilogy-of-sorts. I feel like the seasons have much more comedy in them that do sort of feel like they come from a comedy series, but overall it's good.
I did like it, and would recommend it.
