This film adaptation of War of the Worlds is the best for me. It's gritty and quite unnerving seeing how vicious the aliens can be to humans. It's a really involving movie, one that I stayed with for the whole runtime, keeping focused on the story, praying that the characters would survive. I do like this movie. The visual effects may have aged a bit, but they still hold up. The actors all invest their characters with humanity, living their roles.
I would recommend.
