Death Race is a high-octane thrill-fest, which serves up a lot of the action I wanted from this movie. It is kinda predictable as to what is going to happen, but it goes about showing the destruction and chaos with gusto, and I loved it. The sequels are also good fun. It's good (a bit gory) escapism.
