There have been countless killer animal movies, ranging from brilliant to downright atrocious. Aquarium of the Dead comes towards the middle. It's not great by any stretch of the imagination, and it's not terrible as to be rendered unwatchable.
What it has going for it is the surprisingly ok visual effects. Although most of them range in the bad category, it's not as bad as some other movies of this ilk out there floating around.
The location also lends it's beautiful scenery for the camera to soak in.
The action is ok, nothing groundbreaking, and that goes for the rest of the movie. It's just ok.
