Shiver Me Timbers is the other Popeye inspired film.
It follows a group of people getting picked off by the killer. That's basically the plot and why the audience would want to watch a movie like this.
I was looking forward to this, thinking it may be better than the other Popeye inspired flick, however, it didn't live up to the hype at all.
There are some beautiful shots in this film (particularly the drone shots at the start), however, the acting is really limited (although not the worst there is).
The main draw is the gore, and in that regard the film's Popeye character feels like he has been created using AI and that goes for the gore and some other visual effects, as well. There is some impressive gore, though, and the mega chainsaw scene at the end is fun.
The film is ok, overall.
