VFW, which stands for Veterans of Foreign Wars, pits a group of old veterans who are celebrating one's birthday, against a gang of drug addicts. There's more to the plot than that, of course, however, that is the main premise of this film. And it also get's really bloody.
This film is a very beautifully shot gem, with neon colours nearly throughout and great cinematography. It's also nicely paced, and gets to the action fairly quickly. And when the action comes, it doesn't let up until the end. It's a very violent film and the gore make-up is well applied.
The music, which is a synth score, is very nice to listen to and quite creepy, especially at the start when the credits are up on screen, it juxtaposed happy scenes with the dark theme.
I enjoyed this film very much.
