Coherence

Coherence is a film about a group who come together at a house, as a comet passes. However, they soon realise that everything is not as it seems.

I won't spoil it any further, because this film is very mind-bending, and left me intrigued even after it came to a quite satisfying ending.

The film is shot in a style I grew to like, at first a bit put off by the shaky-cam, but I think it adds tension to a film that is basically people in a house talking and sometimes breaking out into violent outbursts.

For a film set in said location, it does well to keep the viewers attention, although, as with lots of one-location films (although this film does venture outside the house a few times), they can feel like they drag, and Coherence does drag a slight bit in the middle, but ultimately the mystery keeps you involved in the story, wanting to find out what happens.

All the performances are spot on, and the dialogue feels realistic, with people talking over each other sometimes.

Overall, I enjoyed Coherence, it's a well-acted, mind-bending, thought-inducing film.
