House of Darkness, a horror thriller film from 2022, has a simple premise.
A woman takes a man to her house where all is not what it seems. I’ll leave it at that.
The film has a very leisurely pace to it, with long scenes of characters talking. This could easily desolve into boredom, but the actors do a fine job and kept me watching throughout.
The main horror happens at the end, all that time there being a build-up of suspense, not knowing when and what will happen, and when it (spoiler) does at the end, it’s shocking.
It’s a very contained film and the location has a creepy atomsphere to it.
It’s a good horror thriller film.
